Software Configuration Management

One of my past roles was as a software configuration manager. A process heavy role.

This chart shows the various tasks related to my CM roles. Also important are reproducibility, process documentation, file comparison, as well as software tool oversight / management (dev tool version control).

These roles in SCM were in Microsoft Windows development groups. The last one as part of a team
that delivered the first full aircraft audio / video on demand (AVOD) system - hundreds of seats on an airplane, a self contained network. We take streaming media for granted these days, but it was quite an achievement then.
